As the Design & Proposal Engineer your task is to develop new vessels and optimize the current product portfolio. You translate the customer requirements to one of the standard-designed vessels.
The D&P Engineer prepares proposal packages, including technical calculations, budgets, and specifications and determines the estimated delivery time.
Your work includes
- Designing or selecting vessels tailored to the needs of the client;
- Creating ship designs, cost estimates, and build strategies;
- Offering technical support during the entire contracting process;
- Enhancing designs for cost, quality, and functionality;
- Coordinating with stakeholders, both internally and externally, for the success of the project;
- Keeping track of product development, planning, and overall progress in the first phase
You
- Have a BSc or an MSc in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
- Have at least 5 years of experience in ship design;
- Have excellent communication skills and can express yourself well in business conversations. Preferably in both Dutch and English;
- Are flexible, customer-oriented, and a team player;
- Are okay with traveling to clients all over the world;
- Are eligible to work in the Netherlands/in Europe;
