{"id":3285,"date":"2019-10-27T15:10:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-27T15:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobeco.nl\/job\/mechanical-engineering-specialist\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T09:55:21","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T09:55:21","slug":"mechanical-engineering-specialist","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.mobeco.nl\/nl\/job\/mechanical-engineering-specialist\/","title":{"rendered":"Mechanical Engineering Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Oversee designs from concept to production and ensure they meet strict standards!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the Mechanical Engineering Specialist, you\u2019ll join a dedicated team designing and overseeing mechanical systems for naval ships and yachts, ensuring quality, innovation, and compliance with strict standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your work includes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating basic and detailed mechanical designs;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the execution and verification of strength calculations, shock calculations, and mechanical short-cut calculations;<\/li>\n<li>Advising colleagues and clients on setting up mechanical constructions;<\/li>\n<li>Selecting materials and preparing the material lists;<\/li>\n<li>Supervising the production process;<\/li>\n<li>Conducting site visits to approve your own designs;<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing the assembly process;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring designs are properly implemented during the construction;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that designs meet the high standards required;<\/li>\n<li>Taking maintenance requirements into account when designing products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a Master\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or something related;<\/li>\n<li>Have a technical background;<\/li>\n<li>Have 2 or more years of experience in engineering mechanical structures;<\/li>\n<li>Have knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and\/or Autodesk Vault Professional<\/li>\n<li>Are analytical, creative, quality-oriented, and communicative;<\/li>\n<li>Are easily adapt standards and client requirements in mechanical design;<\/li>\n<li>Are fluent in the English language<\/li>\n<li>Are eligible to work in the Netherlands;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mobeco, a project-based organization, operates in niche technology markets such as ship and yacht construction and offshore and maritime suppliers.
