Rotterdam reinvented itself after the destruction in WOII, causing it to have a perfect blend of modern\u00a0architecture, maritime history, and an impressive skyline!<\/p>\n<p>The Erasmus Bridge, nicknamed The Swan, spans over the Maas River and provides\u00a0panoramic views of the harbor, while Delfshaven provides a historic glimpse of the old Rotterdam.<\/p>\n<p>Interested in even more history? Visit the Maritime Museum and explore the history of maritime transport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amsterdam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The world-famous capital of The Netherlands has a rich maritime history. In addition to its\u00a0role as a cultural hub, Amsterdam is often associated with its iconic canals and historical\u00a0architecture. You can enjoy a canal cruise,\u00a0experience the bustling atmosphere of the city, and learn more about its history.<\/p>\n<p>Do you prefer to sail by yourself? Nowadays, the harbor gives you the opportunity to get a glimpse of the seafaring days of the past. Hoorn boasts a rich maritime history, with ships like Halve Maen (Half Moon) in the harbor for visitors to see.<\/p>\n<p>Again, Hoorn has a maritime museum, showcasting the artifacts and tales from the region\u2019s\u00a0maritime past.
