The Structural Design Engineer Naval works on the most technically complex projects and is a true all-rounder. From talking to the clients to translating their wishes and overseeing the budget until they’ve made sure the project is of high quality and has a manufacturable design.
Your work includes:
- Translating client needs into detailed technical specifications and requirements;
- Performing structural calculations;
- Developing and evaluating structural designs;
- Managing project progress, quality, and budgets;
- Consulting with clients and presenting design solutions;
- Communicating with suppliers;
- Ensuring integration and collaboration across disciplines;
- Overseeing the quality of designs and ensuring compliance with standards;
- Contributing innovative ideas and supporting research and development;
- Documenting design decisions and project reports;
- Assessing project outcomes and reporting findings to stakeholders.
You
- Have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a relevant field;
- Have in-depth knowledge of concept and basic design;
- Have organizational and negotiation skills;
- Like keeping up with developments in the field, diversity in projects, and working in teams;
- Have team leadership skills;
- Are permitted to work in Europe/The Netherlands;
