The lead engineer piping leads their assigned team and reports to the Engineering coordinator. Taking up this role means you’re an important part of the team that realizes yachts and does so in close co-makersship with the partners.
The responsibilities of the Lead Engineer Piping
- Reviewing and discussing the project development information and work demarcation during the pre-building process;
- Monitoring the quality of the engineering work;
- Ensuring the correct interfacing and integration of all data with other disciplines;
- Ensuring correct plan drawings and technical specifications in compliance with the building specification and other applicable standards, rules, regulations, and design codes;
- Reviewing and approving engineering completeness and documentation;
- Initiating the correct measurements to solve upcoming/expected complex technical issues;
- Monitoring the follow-ups to ensure the required output;
- Leading, developing, and motivating your assigned team;
- Organizing your work and achieving goals within the set planning.
The Lead Engineer Piping brings,
- A relevant technical bachelor’s degree or a secondary vocational education with relevant work experience in piping;
- A minimum of 5 years experience within the maritime industry and/or in the yacht building industry;
- In-depth experience in piping;
- A proactive and problem-solving approach;
- Analytical, persuasive, result-oriented, and passionate work approach;
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, and/or Rhinoceros;
- Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken;
- The eligibility to work in The Netherlands.
