The project planner works closely with Project Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering to develop, maintain, and adjust project schedules, ensuring alignment with production and partners. The role also includes supporting activities, such as data and document management, that require a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
This client is a specialized shipbuilding organization that designs innovative ships/yachts from its offices in the Netherlands, with construction taking place internationally. Their versatile ships support both shortsea and intercontinental transport, contributing to efficient and sustainable maritime operations worldwide.
The responsibilities of the project planner,
- Creating baseline planning for all project activities based on master schedules and hour budgets, in close collaboration with project managers, team leaders, and subcontractors;
- Developing integrated project plans and logistic schedules;
- Maintaining and analyzing the operational planning;
- Providing progress overviews and preparing hourly forecasts;
- Analyzing and planning the workforce use, space needs, workflows, and workspace layout for efficiency;
- Providing timely and accurate planning support to internal stakeholders.
The project planner brings,
- A solid understanding of all project management phases;
- Detailed knowledge of the manufacturing or industrial processes;
- Experience with ERP systems and planning tools;
- Organizational skills and a results-driven mindset;
- Affinity with the shipbuilding industry;
