Engineer Yacht Equipment

The engineer yacht equipment plays a key role in the manufacturability and feasibility of each yacht.

In the role of engineer yacht equipment, you will be responsible for delivering the technical aspects of assigned project scopes, maintaining high standards in design, 3D modeling, and engineering documentation. You will collaborate closely with project teams while ensuring all work meets applicable industry regulations.

Since the mid-1800’s, this client has operated a shipyard where large, custom-built vessels are engineered and completed. Each project is uniquely designed to meet specific client requirements, with a strong focus on quality, craftsmanship, and technical excellence from concept through delivery.

 

The responsibilities of the engineer yacht equipment,

  • Developing and refining detailed engineering designs, technical drawings, and 3D models;
  • Ensuring adherence with Class and Flag regulations, and with internal project specifications; 
  • Conducting technical assessments to assure the feasibility and manufacturability; 
  • Identifying and solving technical tie-ups, providing solutions and recommendations; 
  • Collaborating with senior engineers, production teams, and project leads to guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality work.

 

The engineer yacht equipment brings,

  • A bachelor’s education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Maritime Technology or another related study;
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Engineering in shipbuilding;
  • Relevant knowledge of 3D AutoCAD, and preferably Cadmatic, Siemens NX, and/or Teamcentre;
  • A good command of the English language, both verbal and written;
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding production and the construction process;
  • Accuracy by nature and have a high standard when it comes to delivering quality and results;
  • Specialized knowledge on hatches and hydraulics, mooring, railings, exterior stairs, and propulsion;
  • The eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
