Production Engineer

The production engineer is a challenging position in which you learn by doing, supported by an experienced team.

From the moment you step in as the production engineer, you will actively contribute to various projects. In this role, you will be involved in translating drawings into detailed construction plans, drafting a dynamic project schedule, and ensuring the overall progress of the production process.

The responsibilities of the production engineer,

  • Creating cutting files, where on-the-job training is part of the onboarding process;
  • Understanding construction methods and processing techniques in shipbuilding;
  • Generating the correct production data based on manufacturability, such as panel layouts and construction plans;
  • Executing external assignments;
  • Collaborating with different departments;
  • Working in and maintaining various CAD systems;
  • Providing relevant stakeholders with operational-level information on progress and quality of work through project reporting;

 

The production engineer brings,

  • Experience in a shipbuilding environment; 
  • Knowledge of the production processes, manufacturing techniques, and assembly;
  • Eagerness to keep learning;
  • Precision and passion for their work;
  • The ability to communicate in the English language;
  • The eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
