The role of naval engineer yachtbuilding is in the top tier of the yacht-building sector. You’re responsible for the design of the most luxurious yachts, and thanks to your clear and well-thought-out work drawings, the production department can work efficiently.Â
This client is a leading Dutch superyacht builder where craftsmanship, innovation, and teamwork come together. You’ll contribute to fully custom yachts built entirely in-house, within a close-knit yet international environment focused on quality, continuous improvement, and shared pride in every delivery.
The responsibilities of the engineer yachtbuilding,
- Developing complete technical designs for yacht structures;
- Creating detailed 3D technical drawings for construction and production;
- Designing and engineering hull construction;
- Designing outfitting and exterior structural components;
- Translating design plans into accurate, production-ready drawings;
- Ensuring all designs meet strict technical and quality requirements;
- Collaborating on the engineering of fully custom yacht designs;
- Supporting work preparation through precise and well-structured documentation;
- Gaining and applying knowledge of the full yacht construction process.
The engineer yachtbuilding brings,
- A bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of relevant work experience, or a secondary vocational education in shipbuilding with 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Hands-on experience with structural design within the shipbuilding or yacht building industry;
- Experience with CATIA or Siemens NX, and with AutoCAD;
- A strong command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Analytical and systematic work ethics;
- Eagerness to learn, and open to developments in the sector;
- The eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
