The experienced mechanical engineer creates designs that stay ahead of the competition!
As Experienced Mechanical Engineer, you join a international team dedicated to improving existing mechanical systems. You’ll work in close collaboration with co-makers, suppliers, and internal departments while your main responsibility will be to ensure that mechanical systems are designed, integrated and delivered in full compliance with the industry standards and regulatory requirements.
The responsibilities of the experienced mechanical engineer includes
- Managing the entire engineering process, from defining functional requirements to preparing commissioning protocols;
- Reviewing and analyzing data from vendors, service providers, and detailed engineering sources to ensure alignment with project specifications;
- Maintaining strong communication and coordination with internal teams, external partners, and key project stakeholders;
- Overseeing quality standards, coordinating discipline interfaces, and facilitating system integration with co-makers and other departments;
- Performing power, load, strength, and flow calculations to support system design and validation;
- Assisting with the approval process by Class Societies and National Authorities, ensuring compliance with all technical requirements;
- Developing system diagrams, propulsion layouts, and outfitting drawings in line with project and regulatory standards;
- Drafting protocols and documentation to support system testing and commissioning phases;
- Managing the collaboration with external 3D engineering partners to ensure accurate and timely project delivery;
The experienced mechanical engineer brings
- A bachelor’s degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering;
- At least 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with experience in the maritime sector;
- Good communication skills in the English language;
- Interest in innovations and an open-minded in new technologies;
- Eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
