The naval architect manages technically complex projects.

As the naval architect, you work on various, technically complex projects. You will be involved in the entire conceptual and basic designs of ships or busy with the design of new submarines or system integrations.

Combining expertise with innovative engineering, they delivers advanced solutions for maritime crafts and contribute to projects such as frigate life extension, floating offshore energy platforms, and ship- and yachtbuilding.

The responsibilities of the naval architect,

• Creating 2D drawings and 3D models;
• Working on and working out technical specifications;
• Drawing up designs;
• Making various calculations for stability, speed-power/resistance, weight management, and hydro-structural analyses;
• Being involved in the complete conceptual and basic designs;
• Performing inclining tests, deadweight surveys, and onboard laserscans;

The naval architect brings,

• At least 5 years of experience as a (naval) architect;
• Specialized knowledge about concept and basic design;
• A love for diversity in projects;
• Excellent communication skills in the English language, both written and spoken;
• The willingness to keep learning and developing yourself professionally;
• The eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
