The Shipbuilding Engineer (Catia) designs the technical foundation for the construction of exclusive yachts.
The Shipbuilding Engineer (Catia) works in one of the highest divisions of ship and yacht building and therefore has the confidence and expertise to bring every project to a successful completion. Because each yacht is unique and comes with its own specific client requirements, every project is different, making the role of Shipbuilding Engineer highly diverse.
This client has already realized more than 200 unique yachts and has developed into a leading superyacht builder in recent years. No wish is too ambitious, and with a workforce of approximately 400 employees, they build with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
The responsibilities of the shipbuilding engineer (catia),
- Developing technical designs for yacht structures that meet all company and quality requirements;
- Creating technical 3D drawings based on the design plans;
- Working on the complete construction of the yacht.
The shipbuilding engineer (catia) brings,
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or a secondary vocational degree in Shipbuilding Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Experience in structural design within shipbuilding and/or yacht building;
- Extensive experience with CATIA and/or NX, as well as AutoCAD;
- A communicative, analytical, and deadline-driven working attitude;
- A passion for technological developments and a strong desire to continue learning and developing;
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written;
- The eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
