As a Lead Engineer Piping, you play a crucial role in the realization of high-end yachts.
The Lead Engineer Piping leads their assigned piping engineering team and reports directly to the Engineering Coordinator. In this role, you contribute to the successful delivery of complex yacht-building projects by ensuring high engineering quality, seamless interdisciplinary integration, and effective collaboration throughout the entire build process.

The responsibilities of the Lead Engineer Piping
- Reviewing and discussing the project development information and work demarcation during the pre-building process;
- Monitoring and safeguarding the quality of the engineering work;
- Ensuring correct interfacing and integration of piping data with other engineering disciplines;
- Delivering accurate plan drawings and technical specifications in compliance with building specifications, applicable standards, regulations, and design codes;
- Reviewing, approving, and ensuring completeness of the engineering documentations;
- Identifying upcoming or complex technical challenges and initiating appropriate solutions;
- Monitoring follow-up actions to ensure required engineering output and project progress;
- Leading, coaching, developing, and motivating your assigned team;
- Organizing work efficiently and achieving project goals within agreed planning and deadlines;
- Working closely with partners and suppliers, fostering strong collaborations based on expertise, trust, and mutual respect.
The Lead Engineer Piping brings,
- A relevant technical bachelor’s degree with experience in piping;
- A minimum of 5 years experience within the maritime industry and/or in the ship- or yacht building industry;
- In-depth experience in piping;
- A proactive and problem-solving approach;
- Analytical, persuasive, result-oriented, and passionate work approach;
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, and/or Rhinoceros;
- Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken;
- The eligibility to work in The Netherlands.
