Hardware Engineer

As a hardware engineer, you enjoy working on the backbone of maritime vessels!

The hardware engineer serves as the link between engineering and execution for various hardware systems and finds ways to continuously improve them.

The responsibilities of the hardware engineer,

  • Working on electrical backbone installations;
  • Supporting the design of electrical and mechanical systems;
  • Supervising and checking the installation of various systems on board;
  • Testing, commissioning, and fine-tuning the systems;
  • Ensuring everything functions as intended;
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, electricians, and project teams;
  • Acting as the link between engineering and execution;
  • Continuously improving various systems, and possibly making them function even better than intended;

 

The hardware engineer brings,

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics/Mechatronica, or a similar study;
  • Experience with shipboard electrical systems;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • A practical, solution-focused approach;
  • The drive to work as a part of a team;
  • The eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
