The hardware engineer serves as the link between engineering and execution for various hardware systems and finds ways to continuously improve them. Â

The responsibilities of the hardware engineer,
- Working on electrical backbone installations;
- Supporting the design of electrical and mechanical systems;
- Supervising and checking the installation of various systems on board;
- Testing, commissioning, and fine-tuning the systems;
- Ensuring everything functions as intended;
- Collaborating closely with engineers, electricians, and project teams;
- Acting as the link between engineering and execution;
- Continuously improving various systems, and possibly making them function even better than intended;
The hardware engineer brings,
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics/Mechatronica, or a similar study;
- Experience with shipboard electrical systems;
- Strong communication skills;
- A practical, solution-focused approach;
- The drive to work as a part of a team;
- The eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
