The responsibilities of the project engineer construction,
- Leading the realisation of the superyachts from concept to final delivery;
- Taking full responsibility for the engineering scope within the construction discipline;
- Ensuring a seamless integration of all construction components, from the initial sketches to completion;
- Safeguarding project quality, planning, budget, and compliance with applicable requirements and regulations;
- Assessing technical feasibility and manufacturability and support project scope definition.
- Leading, coaching, and coordinating a team of engineers, providing clear direction and oversight.
- Driving innovative technical solutions for complex construction and exterior challenges;
- Acting as the central point of contact between the client, shipyard, and all internal and external stakeholders;
- Coordinating planning activities, managing the information flow, and distributing work effectively within the team.
- Monitoring engineering output and ensuring an accurate, complete, and timely documentation;
- Collaborating closely with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager Engineering and reporting project progress.
- Supporting production by aligning engineering deliverables with production needs to achieve agreed timelines and quality standards.
The project engineer construction brings,
- A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in Naval Architecture, or another related field;
- At least 5 years of experience as a senior engineer, or at least 3 years as a project engineer;
- Experience in construction within the ship- or yachtbuilding industry;
- A strong understanding of construction techniques and interior design principles;
- Proficiency in CAD software and in 3D modelling tools, such as AutoCAD, Cadmatic and/or NX;
- Knowledge of and experience with structural design, exterior engineering, moving and integrating equipment, and hull engineering;
- Knowlegde of FEM and stress analysis, weight, and budgetting;
- A deep. technical insight into yacht building and production and the construction of yachts;
- Analytical, quality- and result driven work ethics with a passion for excellence and an eye for details;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Proficiency of the English language, both written and spoken;
- The eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
