As a Senior Project Engineer Yachts, you combine electrical engineering expertise with project coordination to manage high-end yacht projects from engineering through to completion.

What will you do as a Senior Project Engineer Yachts?

In this role, you are technically and organizationally responsible for international projects within the luxury yacht-building industry. You manage the entire process, from engineering and planning to coordination with production, project management, and the client.

Your responsibilities

• Managing yacht projects from engineering through to completion from both a technical and organizational perspective;
• Reviewing and contributing to the design of electrical schematics;
• Monitoring the technical quality, planning, and progress of projects;
• Coordinating technical, financial, and organizational matters with project management;
• Preparing project calculations and budgets;
• Assessing technical changes and their impact on costs and planning;
• Preparing quotations for additional work and the corresponding technical substantiation;
• Ensuring that electrical schematics are available to production accurately and on time;
• Discussing and monitoring delivery times, material orders, and project agreements;
• Identifying and resolving technical deviations;
• Coordinating technical changes with hardware and software engineers;
• Acting as the technical point of contact for clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders;
• Coordinating activities between engineering, production, and project management;
• Managing several technically complex projects simultaneously;
• Contributing to reliable, efficient, and high-quality project results.

Working within the luxury yacht-building sector

You will work for a technically specialized organization that develops advanced electrical and industrial automation solutions for complex maritime installations. Engineering, software development, panel building, assembly, and commissioning are all performed within the organization, ensuring that the entire technical process remains closely integrated.

What do you bring?

You are an experienced Project Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background and an affinity with luxury yacht building. As our next Senior Project Engineer Yachts, you work systematically, identify deviations at an early stage, and translate complex technical information into clear agreements and practical solutions.

Requirements

• You have completed a secondary vocational or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field;
• You have at least six years of experience in a comparable engineering role;
• You have demonstrable knowledge of electrical installations and schematics;
• You have experience managing several technically complex projects simultaneously;
• You are highly proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation and electrical schematics;
• You possess strong technical insight and a solution-oriented approach;
• You can work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team;
• You communicate easily with clients, project management, engineering, and production;
• You are proactive, responsible, and focused on quality and detail;
• You are proficient in both Dutch and English, written and spoken;
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Employment conditions

• A gross salary of €4250 to €5800 per month;
• 25 vacation days + 13 ATV days;
