The responsibilities of the sr production engineer,
- Acting as the central coordinator for the complete technical design of a yacht’s building construction;
- Collaborating closely with the project leader and the draftsman on the full technical realization of the yacht;
- Translating design concepts into detailed technical and production drawings;
- Serving as the key link between various departments;
- Verifying the work drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and quality requirements;
- Ensuring all required materials are ordered and delivered by the suppliers;
- Monitoring the feasibility, weight, strength, and quality standards of constructions to meet the high demands of top-class yacht building;
- Supporting efficient and smooth construction processes through thorough technical preparation and planning;
- Contributing to solutions for complex technical challenges unique to each custom yacht project.
The sr production engineer brings,
- A bachelor’s degree in naval architecture with 3 years of experience in shipbuilding, OR a secondary vocational education with 5 years of experience in shipbuilding;
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD and with Rhino;
- Broad knowledge of ship- and yacht constructions;
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and communicative skills;
- An excellent command of the English language;
- A passion for luxury yachts;
- The eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
